about
Zelienople performed James Tenney's 1971 piece, "For Percussion Perhaps, Or...(night) for Harold Budd" live at the Zen Buddhist Temple of Chicago on April 14th, 2018. We returned the following week to record the piece in the beautifully spacious Buddha Hall utilizing the traditional sacred Buddhist objects in the room (large Dharma Bell, large Dharma Drum, a set of Mok'taks, gong, and bells) as well as our Western Rock/Jazz instruments of guitar, synth, tenor sax. We also had two guests, WW Lowman and Pramod Tummala help us out on contrabass, vibraphones and harmonium.

Probably the Matt Christensen album I listen to most. Maybe that means it's my favorite? It certainly means it's sublimely excellent. The record sounds very nice, too. So if you're into vinyl, it's a good one to have. Jon
